Who is responsible for your information

Imran Nadem trading as Fluent State is the data controller. Fluent State is an independent sole-trader service based in London, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@fluentstate.co.uk. The full service address is supplied privately in written quotations, service terms and invoices before any agreement or payment.

Information collected

When you make an enquiry, Fluent State may collect your name, business name, email address, optional website address, phone number when you request a call, the service area you select and the information you provide about your current situation. Please do not submit passwords, payment information or sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.

Why the information is used

Information is used to review and respond to enquiries, assess whether Fluent State is suitable, arrange a requested conversation, prepare a quotation or proposal, protect the website from misuse and administer an agreed business relationship.

The lawful bases are steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests in responding to genuine business enquiries and operating a secure business, performance of an agreed contract, and legal obligations where applicable. Information submitted through the enquiry form is not used to add you to a marketing list.

Service providers and transfers

Limited information may be processed by providers used for website hosting and security, domain and email routing, form delivery and business email. At launch these include Formspree for enquiry delivery, Porkbun for the domain and email forwarding, and Google for the dedicated Fluent State inbox. These providers process information under their own security and data-processing arrangements.

Formspree hosts services in the United States and states that it relies on Standard Contractual Clauses as a data processor. Where a provider processes information outside the United Kingdom, appropriate contractual or other recognised safeguards are relied upon where required.

How long information is kept

Formspree's free launch configuration keeps submission history for up to 30 days. Enquiries that do not become client work are normally deleted from active business records within 12 months of the last meaningful contact, unless a shorter period is appropriate or longer retention is required to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. Information relating to agreed work, payments and accounting is retained for the periods required by contractual, tax and legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to its use. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To make a request or raise a concern, email hello@fluentstate.co.uk.

Changes to this notice

This notice is reviewed when the website, enquiry route or service providers change. Material changes will be reflected on this page before the new processing begins.
